Next Gen Playstation Controller Prototype Appears

In case you missed it, there was quite the splash made on the interwebs a couple days ago. Gaming Blog Destructoid first broke the pic of what appears to be an early rendering of a new Dual Shock controller, no doubt designed for Sony’s next gen gaming console, the Playstation 4. From what we can see in the image, the core design principles of the Dual Shock have gone uncompromised, but there’s a gigantic addition in the form of a move sensor at the top, and what appears to be a space for an LED display front and center.

We have less than a week left before we get to see whatever Sony has up their sleeve, as they have scheduled a press conference for Feb. 20th. Be sure to check out Nerd News as we’ll provide you up to date news on the official PlayStation announcement
