Nickelodeon Is Reviving Rugrats

1 min read

One of Nickelodeon’s most awesome 90’s cartoons will be brought back for a new 26 episode run.

‘Rugrats’ was an insanely popular show based around the everyday activity of a group of babies and their toddler nemesis, Angelica. The show initially ran from 1991 all the way through 2004, and was a staple in Nick’s lineup. Rugrats had gotten so popular that it actually spawned three full length movies, and a spinoff show called “All Grown Up.” It’ll be the third 90’s show from Nickelodeon to get a revival, following in the footsteps of Rocko’s Modern Life, and Invader Zim. Both of those projects are expected to debut later this year.

The original creators of Rugrats Arlene Klasky, Gábor Csupó, and Paul Germain will all return and serve as executive producers on the new show. It’s been said that ALL the original characters will return including Tommy and Chuckie, along with the debut of a few new characters as well. In addition to new episodes of the animated series, fans can also expect another feature-length film, which is set to debut in November 2020.

That’s all the news we have for now, but more is expected to be revealed at SDCC next week. Until then, you can salivate over the sheer thought of new 90’s goodness, in the form of a new Rugrats series.
