For NXT to be considered the feeder brand to the main roster, you’d think the writing would show that. But it’s almost always the exact opposite as NXT feuds and storylines always seem to feel more important than those happening on RAW or Smackdown Live. Feuds are meticulously built, and the talent involved those feuds always seem to work well together. Case in point: Andrade Almas and Drew McIntyre built a hell of a feud over the last few weeks on NXT. Each man took turns getting the better of the other, all while keeping the NXT Title the central focus of their conflict. On the main roster, there’s no way Andrade would ever stand a chance against a conquering champ like McIntyre. In NXT though, every challenger to every title feels like a threat, with the moments leading up to each match serving as new acts in a high stakes production. The title feuds aren’t the only ones that make NXT a special show though. The mid card talent perfectly compliment those championship contenders, and as a result NXT has a seemingly endless pool of talent that are “Championship Material.” No matter if it’s the NXT women’s division, the tag team division, or two superstars fighting for relevance, everything matters. Wins and losses matter in NXT, which still goes a long way with determining the pecking order within the roster. It’s not just about the story though, because a story always needs great characters. Which brings me to my next point…
