Today Verizon finally ended months of speculation with the official announcement of it’s family share plans. Starting June 28th, Verizon subscribers will have the ability to chose one available share plans that consist of unlimited minutes, unlimited texts, and a pre-specified amount of data. The biggest advantage to these shared plans is that customers can roll any combination of devices into the foray based on it’s assigned monthly rate. Smartphones hold the highest cost at $40 monthly access, basis phones are $30 monthly, Jetpacks/Netbooks/Notebooks/USB sticks are $20 and Tablets are $10 monthly. Once you have selected your devices, simply choose the monthly data allotment you desire and you’re golden. Sounds like a lot to wrap your head around, but thankfully VZW has a handy dandy PDF to help further break down the total costs involved. This marks the first time that full shared plans have been available for consumer accounts but comes finally after years and years of customer request.
