WWE and 2K games have come to an agreement over a new 2 year licensing deal. After seeing their publishing deal under THQ go under(Due to THQ’s bankruptcy), WWE games seemed to have their future hanging in the balance. Take Two Interactive subsequently snatched up the WWE franchise, and a week later reassigned the title to sports franchise powerhouse 2K Games. Known for their wildly popular NBA 2K franchise, 2K Games is literally best case scenario for WWE games. Another bright side to this acquisition, is the revelation that Yukes will stay onboard as a developer, lending some much needed veteran expertise to how the WWE Games are usually developed.

2K Games has committed to having WWE ’14 (or WWE 2K14) available on all major gaming systems this Fall, although there has been no word on whether or not we’ll see it available on the next-gen consoles.
