Don’t Worry Game Of Thrones Fans, Lady Stoneheart Is Totally Showing Up
2 min read****Spoiler Alert: This article contains spoilers from the sixth season of Game Of Thrones, AND The Books. If you’re not caught up, STOP HERE.****
Game Of Thrones Fans have been clamoring for the reemergence of a certain Stark to claim vengeance upon all who have wronged their family. No, I’m not talking about killer elite Arya, or the recently returned Jon Snow. I’m of course talking about the mother of the Stark Clan, Mrs. Catelyn Stark, last seen bleeding profusely from her neck at the red wedding. What viewers of the TV show haven’t been treated to just yet, was her startling return, thanks to Arya’s Direwolf Nymeria. Nymeria dragged her corpse from the Green Fork but runs away shortly after. Catelyn is saved by Lord Berric Dondarrion by offering his life for hers with what’s called The Last Kiss, which I believe to be a custom of followers of the Lord of Light.
Catelyn is revived, but her wounds are only partially healed, similar to the way Melissandre resurrected Jon Snow. She is dead set on regaining her vengeance, and slays any man with any affiliation to the Freys or Boltons. So how is her arrival on the show imminent? Well, over the course of the last few episodes, we’ve been treated to several clues of her impending appearance.
For starters, the last few episodes have been littered heavily with references to ‘River Run’ which is where Lady Catelyn is originally from. Secondly, her reemergence in the books led to several events that tie-in with the current direction of the TV show. Lastly, we were just introduced to Lem Lemoncloak, a member of the “Brotherhood Without Banners” and a devout follower of….. You guessed it. Lady Stoneheart.
Add in the fact that the actor who plays Lem, Johannes Hakur is even talking about it, and we could very well be on the cusp of the debut of Lady Stoneheart.
Dawning on me that some of you guys might hunt me down if that bitch doesn’t show up. I can’t say either way!!! #LadyStoneheart #GoT
