Marvel Debuts A New Avengers: Endgame Trailer During The Super Bowl

2 min read

When we last left our superheroes, most of them had been turned to dust at the hands of the mad titan, Thanos. After successfully collecting all of the vaunted “Infinity Stones (they will forever be Infinity GEMS to me)” Thanos rid the entire universe of exactly half of all living things. Many lives were lost, and those who weren’t dusted, are left to figure out what’s next after Thanos’ deadly snap. We may have been given several clues in the new Avengers: Endgame trailer that debuted during the Super Bowl.

Avengers: Endgame Trailer

The trailer that debuted during Sunday’s Super Bowl LIII, picks up almost immediately afterwards. The rest of The Avengers are scattered across the galaxy, still trying to piece together the consequences of what they’d just experienced. The world itself has gone dark, and we see just how dark as a camera pans past a poster that reads “Where do we go, now that they’re gone?” There was one happy moment from the trailer though. Hawkeye is returning and looks to play a vital role in toppling Thanos.

One might assume that the surviving Avengers would indeed find some sort of way to undo the massive deaths caused by Thanos. There’s been theories floating around that the people who were dusted didn’t actually die, but instead were transferred into a different universe. Others think that the deaths actually did happen, but Doctor Strange calculated a way to undo them during his meditation with the Time Stone. Either way, there were some pretty big names that faded away, and it’ll be interesting to see how/if Marvel brings those characters back.

Avengers: Endgame will undoubtedly be the most important film yet from Marvel Studios. It has the arduous task of serving as the end cap for nearly 11 years of Marvel films. Everything the studio has released has always been leading to this. Avengers: Endgame will debut in theaters on April 26th.
