Mega Fast Google Fiber Broadband Service Coming To Kansas

Announced from their official blog today, Google has announced plans to begin build out of their gigabit fiber service in Kansas City, Kansas next year. This network, plans on giving the citizens of Kansas City access to a fiber service that promises to be up to 100 times faster than whats available to most Americans today. If built effectively, we could see things such as video conferencing, self service kiosks, and even the way we shop, become even more advanced than they are now. Picture being able to give a live presentation to your professor right from the comfort of your home, or having a doctor diagnose his/her patients right from their office with the use of an iPad esque tablet. These are the things Google plans on making a reality very soon, and I for one cannot wait to see the end result.
