Sony Is Allegedly Refunding Customers Who Purchased WWE 2K20

2 min read

The initial launch of WWE’s latest entry into their ‘2K’ franchise has been a less than stellar one. Almost immediately after the game was available fans took to social media to display glitches within the game that surprisingly weren’t fixed before the final version hit shelves. Everything seems to be affected too, from the create-a-superstar mode to normal exhibition matches, the game overall is a mess. There have been so many issues with it, that Sony is allegedly refunding customers who purchased WWE 2K20.

Seriously took me about 2 minutes. https://t.co/Flnmmj03lI pic.twitter.com/doDRv2owuk— Friday Night TapDown (@wiretap804) October 22, 2019

The hashtag #fixwwe2k20 began trending hours after the game released, with many fans showcasing the errors they were getting. In addition to the software itself being broken, many people who actually pre-ordered the game received incomplete or unsigned items that they were promised as part of the order.

Lame. Seems like it happened to a few other people too. Someone dropped the ball. I’m filming a movie for the next month but when I get home I’ll get a p.o box. Everyone who didn’t get one signed, I’ll follow you on here, give you the address and you can send it to me to sign???????? https://t.co/GgLELXEDTo— Adam (Edge) Copeland (@EdgeRatedR) October 22, 2019

Now for the fine print. The refunds that have already been issued were for digital downloads of the game. Those who may have purchased hard copies of WWE 2K20 may, unfortunately, be out of luck. Still, 2K Games should shoulder some of the burdens as they clearly rushed this title out without much debugging. There’s been no word yet on whether or not Microsoft has issued refunds to their customers yet.
