Three Things Apple Should Announce With The New iPhone

It’s time Apple. Time to stop holding on to your proprietary charging standard and move into a more unified front. Yes, I know it’ll be painful for those people that still have a ton of lightning chargers lying around the house, but that is a problem that Apple has helped create. USB Type C has been a charging standard for the last three years, and Apple themselves has used it on their newer Macbook and iPad Pro devices.
USB C doesn’t just offer a new charging standard for Apple devices, but rather a step towards even more versatility between devices. One of the single biggest advantages users will gain from having a device that supports USB C is the fact that they are in full control over how their devices will interact with other USB C devices. USB C would offer users the distinct advantage of faster data transfers when moving files from phone to Mac or PC and vice versa.
There’s also the added benefit of charging speed. With USB C, Apple could improve and shorten charging times on iPhone up to 10 times faster than the current lightning charging standard.
