WWE Payback 2015:

Sheamus v.Dolph Ziggler

I liked this match quite a bit. Both competitors did their best to keep things competitive and interesting while not trying to go too insane with high spots. Dolph and Sheamus both traded big shots, with each one looking like it wore the other man down that much further. Dolph took some time to hike up his shorts while a downed Sheamus recovered in the corner, and Dolph was soon collecting on a debt that Sheamus owed from Extreme Rules. Sheamus rolls to the outside to collect himself, and of course sells the fact that he just had a grown mans err…. arse in his face. Sheamus pops back into the ring unloads some more on Dolph until Dolph hits him with his trademark DDT for a close 2 count. Sheamus went back on the offensive hitting Ziggler with just about everything he had, which led to several near falls. Setting Ziggler up in the corner, Sheamus ends up eating a headbutt from Ziggler followed by a super kick, and another near fall. Bloodied and unable to completely regain his composure, Sheamus explodes into a Brogue Kick, knocking Dolph out, and snagging the victory in the process.

Winner: Sheamus

2 Out Of 3 Falls Tag Title Match: The New Day (c) v. Tyson Kidd and Cesaro

I completely and totally hated the idea of The New Day when they first hit the scene. A few months and a heel turn later, I find myself unable to stop watching them whenever they are on. They have turned into one of the more compelling acts on the roster today and consistently churn out good matches. Tyson Kidd and Cesaro started this match on gear 10 and never really turned it down from there. Kofi started the match and got rag dolled by Tyson Kidd for awhile which led to Kofi tagging in Big E. Cesaro gets the tag from Tyson Kidd and after a few minutes of some chain grappling, we were treated to our first display of Cesaro strength as he caught Big E out of mid-air, and delivered a solid suplex. Seconds later, Big E hits Cesaro with a military press in an impressive display of strength of his own. Cesaro and Kidd hit cruise control and wind up getting the first pinfall with the Giant Dropkick. After Kofi gathered himself the action picked up right where it left off at, with Kidd and Cesaro commanding the upper hand. It wasn’t too long before Big E and Kofi regained momentum however, and after dispatching Cesaro on the outside, they hit Kidd with The Big Ending, evening the falls at one. The final fall starts off just as fast and furious as the other two, with both teams seemingly emptying their arsenal to try to score the victory. The action spills outside and back into the ring where Cesaro appears to be closing in on a victory. Kofi guillotines Cesaro on the top rope and slides outside, slightly out of view. While the ref is distracted, Xavier Woods slides in and rolls Cesaro up in a small package and the ref, thinking Woods is Kingston counts to three and New Day steals the win.
