Ryback v. Bray Wyatt

Ryback starts off the match with a quick flurry of offense before Wyatt cut him off with his running crossbody. The two fight some more until Ryback runs at Wyatt and gets sent into the turnbuckle, ending up outside. Wyatt hits a pretty sweet running senton from the apron on Ryback outside, leading to a near 10 count. Ryback rolls back into the ring selling a rib injury, but still giving Wyatt all he can handle. Ryback started to mount some offense of Wyatt, even hitting a top rope splash for a two count. He called for his Shell Shocked finisher, and hoisted Wyatt up on his shoulders, but Wyatt wisely grabbed the ropes, and in the process, exposed the turnbuckle. Wyatt goes for Sister Abigail, but Ryback reverses, Wyatt then sends Ryback into the exposed steel turnbuckle and hit Sister Abigail.

Winner: Bray Wyatt

US Title I Quit Match: John Cena (c) v. Rusev

As I had previously stated in my predictions post, this match would basically be a standard affair for Cena. Lots of hard hits, lots of spots with the ref asking “Do you want to quit,” with each competitor answering no. The action spilled all over the place, at one point ending up around the stage area. Cena hit Rusev with an AA on the pyro table, accidentally setting of some pyro in the process. The two men fight all the way back into the ring, with Rusev gaining the advantage on Cena, and locking him in the Accolade until he passes out. Rusev then heads over to the turnbuckle, undoes it, and then starts to undo the bolt securing the top rope in place. Cena, still passed out motionless in the ring, causes Rusev to go outside and retrieve a bottle of water to revive him. Cena was essentially playing possum the entire time, and as Rusev went to strike him with the turnbuckle bolt he’d undone, Cena swiftly moved out-of-the-way and countered into an STF. Using the top rope for leverage, Cena had Rusev firmly locked in the STF, with Rusev shouting something in Bulgarian. The ref checked on Rusev to see if he’d wanted to give up, and Rusev continued to yell in Bulgarian. This caused Lana to take action, storming the ring, giving up on Rusev’s behalf, and handing Cena the victory.

Winner: John Cena
