Disney Buys LucasFilm, Announces ‘Star Wars Ep VII’

OK, I had to stop squealing to write this, but apparently Disney has scooped up the rights to LucasFilm Ltd for a cool $4.05 Billion. There hasn’t been a ton disclosed about the deal, but an extremely ecstatic Disney promptly announced their intentions to pop out Star Wars Ep. 7 alongside the Avengers sequel in 2015. Disney has been making huge power moves lately as it hasn’t been too long since they inked a deal to secure the rights to Marvel entertainment. Both franchises have the ability and potential to be tremendous cash cows for Walt Disney and gang, but one thing is for sure, Star Wars fanboys will not be as forgiving if Ep.7 turns out to be another “Amazing Spiderman”.
