New Render Shows Off Nexus 5 2015
2 min readThis phone has been high on my want list ever since leaks have pointed to it being a reality. The Nexus 5 was hands down my favorite Nexus phone ever as it had the perfect combination of size, function, and performance. It looks like LG is back at the helm again, poised to release an updated, modernized version of what many consider to be the best Android phone ever.
For the most part, the phone itself has been a phantom. Tons of people have created fan renders of the device but no one knows what it’ll look like until it gets released. Prolific leaker @OnLeaks posted a very good rendering of what we can potentially expect the device to look like and is promising more leaks and info to come within the next 24/48 hours. What we know so far, is that there’ll actually be two different models this year; one will be made by LG and the other will be a larger device manufactured by Huawei. The LG model will reportedly pack a 5.2 inch full HD display, 16MP camera with OIS, USB C connector, fingerprint scanner, and 32 or 64GB of internal storage.
We spoke to an LG rep who independently confirmed the device will launch “On or after September 28th.” Take that with a grain of salt but one thing’s for sure, it sounds like the next batch of Nexus phones will arrive sooner than usual. Check out the rendering below, and follow On Leaks for all the latest news.
