Five Things I Learned From Wrestlemania

Brock Lesnar has held the WWE Universal Championship hostage for nearly 2 years. During that time, Seth Rollins was enjoying a meteoric rise back to the top of WWE after missing a year due to injury. It was only right for the two to clash eventually over the company’s top prize, and that exactly what happened at Wrestlemania. Most Brock Lesnar matches are all the same. Suplex, suplex, suplex, repeat. This match started that way, with Brock dominating early, keeping the action outside of the ring before the bell rang. After the action returned between the ropes, Seth gained the upper hand with a low blow, and three consecutive curb stomps to ground the beast, and capture the Universal title. With Brock out of the picture, we can now expect the Universal title to hold a more prominent role on Monday nights again. With Seth as champion, RAW will get an immediate upgrade in championship match quality, and as such ratings should begin to spike again. With tremendous competition from the likes of Drew McIntyre, Roman Reigns, Braun Strowman, Bobby Lashley, and Finn Balor, Seth could be getting ready to embark on a renaissance of wrestling classics across the next several months with the Universal Title.
