Greetings and salutations…

Or however people start conversations these days. We’ve all unfriended an insane amount of friends and family, survived the onslaught of mis and disinformation, and survived the impending Trumpocalypse. COVID is still ravaging the country, but overall case counts continue to decline. The country is still largely divided, and race and gender inequality are at the center of the split.

In the midst of all the confusion and conflict, The Curated Culture took a long, healthy sabbatical to determine what our next steps would be. There were moments along the way where we questioned our place in the wide-open world of media, suffering an identity crisis of sorts. We took a huge blow to our content category with the absence of Comic Cons, and shifting away from mobile, and considered the possibility of shutting down the site and moving exclusively to YouTube.

But that’s not us.

We’ve always prided ourselves on being able to convey information to our audience in a clear and concise manner. Being able to deliver news and reviews in a way that resonated with you no matter if you were tech-savvy or simply curious about the latest news from the world of pop culture. The importance of breaking news or “breaking down” news cannot be understated and it’s something that brings us great joy. Even if we lost sight of that fact for a while.

And so, we look forward to starting and finishing this year with renewed optimism and focus around creating an engaging and unique experience for you, our readers. We appreciate everyone for sticking around and supporting us throughout the years, and we are very much looking forward to being a source of entertainment for you all.
