The Best Wrestling Game You’re Not Even Playing

If you dig wrestling and love simple control scheme, then Wrestling Revolution will definitely strike a chord with you. The premise behind Wresting Revolution is essentially the same things that you’d normally see on TV every Monday night, with equal parts action, and drama. The difference here is there are no big name wrestling stars and no hall of famers as Wrestling Revolution is more or less a re imagining of the wrestling world through the eyes of the creators. The game consists of several “episodes” that function like a high strung PPV, full of  “dream matches” designed to add depth to the story lines. This game is packed to the gills with action and tons of different match types that serve to provide a simulation of matches that wouldn’t previously be possible.

The control scheme is more smartphone friendly than that of most action/ fighting games. Most of the action is confined to commands that most smartphone users are more than familiar with: pinch, tap, flick or swipe. This makes for a pretty simplistic, and yet advanced experience for those who want a more in depth grappler. Grapples are performed by a pinch action over your target, and from there you can swipe in one of multiple available directions to perform your characters move set. One of the unique things about WR is the fact that you can perform your characters finishing move by performing a double pinch, with the only caveat being the immediate drain of strength temporarily.

In possibly the most awesome feature of WR, the developers introduce entirely new cards that are introduced through updates. This helps to keep the action fresh, as well as gives users the ability to greatly impact how story lines play out. Available through the iOS app store and the Google Play Store, Wrestling Revolution should hit home with any wrasslin’ enthusiast, or someone who is looking for a strong alternative to what’s already out there. We love it, but we’d like to hear what you think about it. Give it a go and sound off in the comments section!
