We all feel some kind of way about how Game Of Thrones ended, but what about the events that led up to it? HBO’s Game of Thrones spinoff ‘House of the Dragon’ is coming next year and we finally have our first trailer from it. The series tells the story of the Targaryen civil war that took place 200 years before the events of ‘Game of Thrones.’
Matt Smith is playing Prince Daemon Targaryen, the younger brother of King Viserys and one of the catalysts of the Targaryen civil war. Other cast and crew include Paddy Considine as King Viserys, Emma D’arcy as Princess Rhaenyra Targaryen, and Olivia Cooke as Alicent Hightower. The trailer itself doesn’t give many details about the plot or conflicts that will occur during the series run, but it does show some of the inner turmoil that led to the fall of the Targaryen dynasty.
Regardless of how you felt about the conclusion of the original series, this prequel is already looking like it’ll be just as awesome as some of the earlier seasons of Game Of Thrones.
House of the Dragon will debut on HBO Max in 2022.
