The One Plus 3T Is Oppo’s Most Ambitious Phone Yet

3T from OnePlus

In a world of powerhouse smartphones, it’s beginning to take more and more for new release phones to stand out. Either manufacturers take design shortcuts to keep the cost down, or they spare no expense and lose out on market share because of the price of their devices. OnePlus has carved themselves a lovely niche in the market, being able to somehow manage to do both at once – making incredibly affordable devices while maintaining competitive price points. The OnePlus line of smartphones have always been ambitious, but with the announcement of the OnePlus 3T, that may be an understatement.

The OnePlus 3T has a daunting task ahead of its release. With the iPhone 7, Samsung Galaxy S7, and the Google Pixel all competing for market share, how can it truly stand out amongst giants? One way is the incredible amount of design detail OnePlus is pouring into the 3T to not only make sure it can compete, but also maybe even surpass its next largest competitors.

For starters, the 3T is rocking an aluminum unibody design, which is slowly becoming the standard for just about any smartphone that gets released. In fact, looking at the design of the OnePlus 3T, I am immediately reminded of the Nexus 6P, and that’s actually a very good thing. Around front lies a 5.5 inch display with 1080p resolution. There’s also a new dual 16MP camera system that promises to deliver some of the best photos from a OnePlus device yet. On the inside, there’s going to be a Snapdragon 821 processor, 6GB of RAM, and the option of 64 or 128GB of internal storage. The 3T is also 7.3mm thin which makes it  about the same size as the iPhone 7 Plus and Google Pixel XL.

The OnePlus 3T will go on sale starting Nov. 22nd, and will be available in Gunmetal and Soft Gold. The best part about this device has to be the price point. The OnePlus 3T will launch at $439 for the 64GB variant, and will more than likely run about $100 more for the 128GB model.

If you’re looking to pick one up, head on over to the OnePlus Website to check for availability.
